About the Artist

Shé:kon/Hello!

My name is Tiffany, I am mixed indigenous. Haudenosaunee, Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk), Turtle Clan. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I started to create beadwork during the pandemic in 2021 as a form of healing and love for my culture. It has been an amazing experience connecting with other beaders in the community and being part of a  fantastic support group and abundance of creativity. A lot of my art mixes pop culture with beadwork, I really enjoy merging these two because it makes people happy and smile while still being a form of medicine and beauty.

Some fun facts about me:

  1. I originally went to school for makeup artistry and obtained my diploma. Then later went back to school to get my degree in politics and governance with a minor in sociology.
  2. I am a huge horror fan! Books, movies, you name it
  3. I love reading, giant book worm!
  4. I have always enjoyed creating, I also cross stich and knit.

Nya:weh/Thank you for visiting and viewing my work,
Tiffany
